Optimization and comparison of two types of collimated camera for proton beam range monitoring
Résumé
Aim: Range monitoring remains a key issue in improving the quality control in hadrontherapy. One method currently being investigated to this end is prompt gamma detection. These gamma rays are emitted by nuclear reactions along the ion track and correlate well with the range. We aim to compare the performances of two types of collimated camera (knife-edge and multi-parallel slit) for this application.
