Control of discretization error and adapativity for finite element problems solved by domain decomposition

Résumé

This paper presents a strategy for adaptative verification of computations driven in a sub-structured framework arising from the use of non-overlapping domain decomposition methods. We currently restrict ourselves to global estimates of discretization error in the context of linear mechanical problems. The key point of our method which is based on the use of constitutive relation error is a parallel recovery of admissible interface fields. This allows to obtain relevant estimates far before the domain decomposition solver reaches convergence.
