Transmission characterisation of PF-GI-POF for high bitrate indoor wireless network
Résumé
We characterize a transmission through perfluorinated graded index polymer optical fiber (PF-GI-POF) suitable for all-optical high speed indoor optical network. The fiber links are used here to distribute a wireless optical cell in indoor environment. To validate the transmission channel, the PF-GI-POF is simulated and compared with PMMA and silica multimode spans in terms of bandwidth and eye diagram. The far-field profiles emerging from the PF-GI-POF are then measured to test his uniformity.
