Fiber-distributed Indoor High Bitrate Optical Wireless System
Résumé
In this paper, we present and describe an Indoor Optical Wireless (IOW) distribution system using an infrared communication channel. The idea is to provide indoor free-space dynamic optical cells at very high rates through an optical fiber network using a dedicated architecture. We calculate the system power budget and simulate the overall link, showing that an implementation with commercially available components may lead to 2.5 Gbit/s operational optical wireless links.
