Multi‐Scale Analysis to Study the Rheological Behavior of Natural Mud Suspensions

Résumé

Rheological behavior of complex mineral fine suspensions is analyzed regarding solid volume fraction and the grain size distribution. The use of a model based on modified solid volume fraction permits to propose a master curve build up to describe the evolution of the yield shear stress, the apparent viscosity and consistence index as function of selected parameters. The role of the granular inclusions on the suspension behavior is also interpreted.
