N-Methylephedrium Salts as Chiral Surfactants for Asymmetric Hydrogenation in Neat Water with Rhodium(0) Nanocatalysts

Résumé

Synthesis of a water-sol. family of optically active N-methylephedrium salts NMeEph12X I [X = Br, HCO3, (S)-lactate] that can be used as efficient protective agents of metallic nanoparticles in neat water was described. The resulting materials were evaluated in the asym. hydrogenation of ethylpyruvate. [on SciFinder(R)]
