Rollover risk prevention of heavy vehicles by reliability-based analysis
Résumé
In this paper we explore a new method to evaluate the rollover risk of heavy vehicles. The proposed method deals with reliability-based approach to provide a reliable rollover warning by considering statistical information of the Vehicle/Infrastructure system. Because of the HV dynamics and its interactions with the infrastructure, time intervenes in an explicit way in differential equations, which are stochastic in nature. We are thus confronted with random processes governing heavy vehicle states. The risk prediction leads to a threshold crossing problem of such processes.
