Geometrical tools for the description and control of functional specifications at the conceptual design phase.
Résumé
This paper presents a geometrical model that uses points and line segments to describe mechanisms at the early phases of the product design process. This model allows the description of an object with a topological matrix and another matrix that contains the metric information about the object. The paper also indicates how to associate two objects represented using this model. Finally, the interest of this model for the mapping of a geometrical requirement along the product life-cycle is shown on a case study
