A nonlinear model of thin films made of martensitic materials

Résumé

We establish a new formulation of the membrane problem by working in the space of Gradient-Young measures which is suitable for multi-well energy densities which model martensitic materials. The energy fimctional related to this formulation is obtained as a limit of a 3D formulation of the behavior of a thin layer for a suitable variational convergence.
