Automatic SEA partitioning of complex structures using cluster analysis
Résumé
Statistical Energy Analysis is a powerful tool to describe energy sharing between subsystems but is confronted with several difficulties in the case of industrial structures. In particular, finding subsystems verifying SEA assumptions (reverberant subsystems, weak coupling) is not obvious. The present paper deals with an automatic energy partitioning technique to identify proper SEA subsystems. This method is based on the analysis and the classification of energy transfer functions via cluster analysis. As Finite Elements Method is used to compute energy transfer function, this method make a link between FEA and SEA. Automatic energy partition technique is used to find subsystems of a part of a TGV Duplex to demonstrate applicability of the method to complex industrial structures.
