Etude de l'innovation et de la spatialisation des services en vue de leur caractérisation
Résumé
Service activities plays an important role in the current entrepreneurial dynamic of and service innovation becomes a topical question in the practices of the companies subjected to the challenge of competitiveness and the stakes of globalization. The service sector of activity represents more than 70% of the GDP and employment in the developed and developing countries. Although innovation is considered as a strategic issue, only few researches are done to determine its ins and outs. This contribution presents as a foreword, a synthesis of works relating to the characterization of services based on their properties or specificities that are still under debate between academics and allow confirming the difficulty to define a service. Specificities of service innovation, on which we focus, are presented in a second time. Service providers' practices in term of innovation associated to empirical research make it possible to have a global view of this problematic and to bring additional pieces of information to help define and characterize services.
