Use of stochastic models in health care: state of the art

Résumé

In this paper we provide a survey of stochastic models applications, more particularly the analytical methods (Markov chain, compartmental model, queuing theory) or a combination of analytical methods and simulation, in health care delivery systems after 1998. This study enables us to show how each method is used for modeling a health care system in literature.
