Internal model principle for time-delay systems of retarded type

Résumé

This papers addresses the internal model principle problem for time-delay systems of retarded type. Based on an algebraic approach, a parametrization of all stabilizing compensators using proper and stable fractions of pseudopolynomials is proposed in a first part. Then, we consider the tracking problem for general plants with bounded uncertainties in the L2 or L∞-induced norms. Namely, we determine a compensator that ensures an asymptotic convergence to zero of the tracking error. The analysis of the structure of a compensator that achieves this objective is addressed.
