On a representation of fractional order systems: interests for the Initial Condition Problem

Résumé

This paper proposes a representation of fractional order system that involves a classical linear integer system and a system described by a parabolic equation. It thus demonstrates that fractional order systems are halfway between these two classes of systems, and are particularly suited for diffusion phenomena modeling. This representation is used here to derive a coherent initialization function for the considered systems.
