Résistance coarticulatoire dans les séquences VCV en contexte pharyngalisé vs non pharyngalisé en arabe moderne et dialectal
Résumé
The present study carries out an acoustic study of coarticulatory resistance in V1CV2 sequences both in Modern standard Arabic (MSA) and Dialectal Arabic (DA). The aim is to investigate the resistance of the pharyngealized /t d s / vs nonpharyngealized consonants /t d s /) to vowel coarticulatory effetcts in a symmetrical context [iCi, uCu, aCa]. The speech material is produced by sixteen males in both MSA and DA. The results regarding to the two formants (F1, F2) and from the distance between F2-F1 (Fv) showed a substantial regularity in coarticulatory adjustments. The pharyngealized context showed more resistance to the vowel effects than the non-pharyngealized one. The resistance degree was more important for the coarticulatory effects of the vowel /i/. The coarticulatory resistance is slightly more important in MSA than in DA.
