Development of an HMI Based on the OPC Standard
Résumé
This paper deals with an educational project based on the development of a supervisory software. The project is addressed to Bachelor students in the field of Automated Systems and Industrial Networks at the Institute of technology of Bordeaux 1. The lab sessions on automated systems are organized around a set of devices controlled through Ethernet or different field buses. The supervisory project is carried out on a "lift-trolley" equipment and uses the OPC (OLE for Process Control) protocol via an "ActiveX component". The knowledge of event programming is essential in any Microsoft based programming. The project is organized as a four hours lab session, concluding a two hours lecture.
