TetrahedralversusoctahedralMnsitecoordinationin wurtziteandrocksaltZn1 −xMnxOinvestigatedbymeans ofXASexperimentsunderhighpressure

Résumé

Wepresent theresultsofx-rayabsorptionmeasurementscarriedout inZn1 −xMnxOthinfilmsunder highpressure. TheMnenvironment remainsessentiallythesamefor nominal Mnconcentrationsgiven byx =0.05, 0.1, 0.15and0.25. BoththeXANES(X-rayAbsorptionNearEdgeStructure)andEXAFS (ExtendedX-rayAbsorptionFineStructure)indicatethatMnoccupiestheZnsite,beingsurroundedbyfour oxygenatomsat 2.02 ±0.01 ̊A. Thesubstitutional hypothesisisreinforcedbycomparingthedifferences betweentheambient (wurtzite)andhighpressure(rocksalt)spectra, whichcorrespondtotetrahedral and octahedralMnenvironments.
