Optimization of the size and the shape of a wheeler cap for mobile phone antenna efficiency measurements

In this work, we focus on simulating several Wheeler Cap setup for mobile phone-antenna efficiency measurements. Several caps with different shapes, different conductivities, different distances between their walls and the enclosed antenna are simulated with the help of the full-wave software HFSS. Very interesting results are obtained and open perspectives like measuring the radiation efficiency of mobile phone antennas which are not necessarily electrically small.
