Simple computation of the eigencomponents of a subdivision matrix in the Fourier domain

Résumé

After demonstrating the necessity and the advantage of decomposing the subdivision matrix in the frequency domain when analysing a subdivision scheme, we present a general framework based on a method, introduced by Ball and Storry, which computes the Discrete Fourier Transform of a subdivision matrix.
