Acoustic cavities
Résumé
We describe semiconductor double resonators that confine light and sound and strongly enhance their interaction. We address the double optical resonant Raman interaction in these devices, and we describe in detail the main features of the Raman spectra that include the scattering with standing optical waves, the observation of the acoustic confined vibrations, the spectra of structures with one to three confined acoustic modes, finite-size effects, the cavity-mode parity and Raman selection rules.
