Relic gravitational wave background and the isotropy of space

Résumé

The relic gravitational wave background is expected to be statistically isotropic, but the actual value of the associated spacetime metric should break isotropy. We propose to detect the resulting anisotropy by using an optical interferometer mounted on a rotating platform.
