Passive Microwave Devices and Biomedical Sensors: Applications and Perspectives
Résumé
This report summarizes my research activities since earning my PhD in 2009,structured around two main axes: The first focuses on the development of opto-microwave components, particularly modulators and analogto-digital converters based on thin-film electrooptic polymers. The second concerns the design of microwave sensors with a dual focus: gas sensors based on metal oxides for industrial and environmental applications, and implantable biomedical sensors for the healthcare of the future. All of my work follows an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, at the intersection of materials, microwaves, and instrumentation. Since 2011, I have co-supervised 9 PhD theses (2 ongoing) and participated in several funded projects (ANR, regional programs, industrial collaborations), including 2 as coordinator. My research is part of a national and international dynamic and aligns with the strategic priorities of the IETR laboratory. It contributes to the development of RF circuits to anticipate future connectivity challenges, particularly in the field of antenna architectures and associated microwave and millimeter-wave circuits, and to future healthcare through innovative sensors, in response to societal challenges supported by the Pays de la Loire Region and Nantes University.
