              <p>We study a model of directed compact animals which arises in various fields : partition of an integer, spiralling self avoiding walks, interacting electrons in a strong magnetic field. We give asymptotic formulae for the number of these animals with N sites and length L, and for the mean length &lt; L &gt; at a given N.</p>
