Wavelength selection in one-dimensional cellular structures
Résumé
We show on one-dimensional model equations that the wavelength selection in cellular structures is due to the effect of boundary conditions that propagate throughout the whole structure. Various predictions are made concerning the dependence of the wavenumber as a function of the total length of the solution and of the control parameter.
