Gender, Sexual Identities and Spatial Justice
Résumé
This introductory text examines the « place » that gender minorities have claimed in different parts of the world and types of space, emphasizing the fact that it is not purely metaphorical but an actual issue of spatial justice. The text presents the papers in the themed issue and singles out the questions of visibility and recognition that seem to unite them. Lastly, the ubiquity of sexist and homophobic discriminations is what this work emphasizes, challenging the simplistic geography that is sometimes taken for granted.
