Les statues de la route de Beaucaire à Nîmes
Résumé
The group of roman statues found route de Beaucaire in Nîmes presents a quite particular interest because It testifies ofthe presence of a local workshop working in the city during the 2th century AD. From a stylistic and thematic point of view, these statues form two groups stemming from the same workshop but from two differents hands ; the one can be dated in the first half or the middle of the 2th century, the other one of the second half or the end of the 2th century. Although questioned, the funeral destination of these two groups seems to be able to be confirmed as long by the analysis of archaeological data that by the analysis of statues
