An Integrated Small-Signal and Electromagnetic Transient Analysis Tool for Power System Stability
Résumé
This work presents a symbolic-based tool simulation that integrates small-signal and electromagnetic transient (EMT) analysis for modern power systems. The tool automatically formulates differentialalgebraic equation (DAEs) using symbolic modelling, supporting systems with Grid-Forming (GFM), Grid-Following (GFL) inverter, and synchronous generator (SG). It enables time domain simulation capturing fast and slow dynamic interactions between DGs and network within forming state space representation for comparing time domain with linear model simulation, and create structured approach for small-signal analysis. This framework helps in assessing component-level impacts, stability under various scenarios, and supports advanced control and mitigation strategy development.
