              <p>[...] Fanny Roque, looking at the legal issues of personal data transfers after BREXIT, examines the framework for personal data transfer outside the EU (as is the case for the U.K. after BREXIT). In principle, data transfers outside the EU26 are not allowed under the regime of GDPR. However, the Regu-lation organises a complex system of diverse and hierarchical grounds. that may justify the personal data transfer to a third-24125 country (such as the European Commission issuing an adequacy decision). More-over, in a recent case (Schrems II), the CJEU weakened the adequacy deci-sions adopted by the Commission concerning third countries. Thus, for the author, the framework of the GDPR and the strict interpretation of the CJEU are encouraging data controllers and processors to settle in the EU or elicit third countries to adopt a legislative framework equivalent to the European one.
