New electrode materials for Fluoride ion batteries
Résumé
Fluoride-Ion Batteries (FIB) represent an emerging class of rechargeable batteries using fluoride ions (F-) as charge carriers. Compare to Li-ion batteries, FIBs offer several potential advantages, including higher energy density and improved safety. In this work we study new pyrochlore type materials as cathodes for FIBs. Galvanostatic cells were mounted with cathode // TBAF-3H2O // Pb/PbF2. Pyrochlores CsMnFeF6, NH4MnFeF6, CsMn2F6 and HTB Cs0.5Mn0.5Fe1.5F6 wer cycles at C/20 rate. CsMnFeF6 and NH4MnFeF6 showed rapid capacity fade while Mn-only phases showed good cyclability and encouraging capacities
