SiC-based power electronics building blocks for transformerless partial voltage converters
Résumé
In the field of power conversion systems, an advantageous solution is the partial power converter concept, which can offer reduced cost, weight, volume and power losses. However, partial power converters often require an internal transformer to transfer energy from one part of the circuit to another, which adds cost, losses and weight to the converter. This paper describes a TransformerLess Partial Voltage Converter (TLPVC) that allows currents to be regulated in a multi-MPPT system, and explains its main properties. The proposed converter is compared with a reference architecture and simulations have been carried out to evaluate its performance
