Influence of Weed and Nutrient Management on Growth, Yield Attributes and Yield of Summer Pearlmillet under South Gujarat Condition, India

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted on heavy black soil at college farm, N. M. college of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, Gujarat, India during the year 2019 with the objectives to assess the effect of weed and nutrient management practices on growth and yield attributes as well as yield of summer pearl millet cv. GHB-558. The results revealed that significantly higher growth and yield attributes along with the higher yield was obtained in weed free plot and was found at par with the application of atrazine @ 0.5 kg/ha as a pre-emergence fb hand weeding at 30 DAS and fertilized with 100 % RDF.
