Can literary fiction make us think philosophically, or are the texts of authorson the university curriculum the only way to learn how to “really”philosophize? The hypothesis proposed here is that learning philosophy canbe done through, or even within, dystopias. Rather than starting from the culture of the students and then leaving it aside, we should consider dystopia as a unique wayof understanding the complexity of reality and navigating the major problemsof thought.
