Numerical simulation of stud pullout in concrete using a regularized damage model
Résumé
This research investigates the resistance of anchored rods in concrete, essential for structural safety. A regularized damage model (RTC), based on Mazars' approach, is applied to simulate bolt pullout tests using Cast3M finite element software. The study examines concrete cracking mechanisms in different configurations, comparing high-strength and normal-strength steel rods. Results reveal two main failure modes: concrete breakout cone formation and steel fracture. The embedment length significantly influ-ences failure mechanisms, offering insights to optimize anchorage systems for critical infrastructure.
