Résumé

This conceptual article aims to theorize the expression of the digitalization of public diplomacy as a meta-process of communicative construction from social and communicative constructivist perspectives, bridging intellectual insights from international relations and communication studies. Initially framed under terms like “new public diplomacy” and “digital diplomacy,” the digitalization of public diplomacy remains evolving and multifaceted, involving state and non-state actors and individuals. The article explores the power dynamics, social and communicative dimensions, and relational turns of the digitalization of public diplomacy, emphasizing its role in reshaping societal and international structures. The analysis seeks more theoretical debate to better understand the emerging field of public diplomacy in the digital age.
