Réalisme et phénoménologie : Pour une phénoménologie a minima

Résumé

It would be mistaken to speak of “realism” in the thought of Jacques Derrida, and the debate between “realism and phenomenology” had not, in his time, reached the degree of urgency it holds today. Yet to engage with this question is, in our view, to probe the limits—or the outer reaches—of phenomenality. While the notion of “margins” is not at stake here, it is indeed a matter, following Derrida, of remaining at the limit, or even at the Chôra, in what we now propose to call a phenomenology a minima. This essay is thus “Derridean” in the strict sense of the term—that is, a continued attempt to press thought to its limits. In doing so, it pays homage to Derrida, showing that the questions of yesterday are also those of tomorrow.
