            <abstract xml:lang="en">
              <p>Between 1350 and 1450, six French translations of the pseudo-Bonaventurian Stimulus amoris were written, more or less faithful to their model: several are partial and one compiles several sources. Five of these anonymous Aiguillons have had little circulation; by contrast, the one signed by Simon de Courcy, preserved in 23 manuscripts, has enjoyed a certain notoriety. After describing the Aiguillons d’amour composed in the langue d’oïl and quantifying their manuscript tradition, our article analyses their publication in collections, favoured by their small size. The Aiguillon is often the keystone of the codices analysed. The singular, even personalised, content of each collection testifies to the attention paid to the expectations of a readership that included several women. The fact that no stable anthology pattern emerged makes certain recurring features significant in the collections observed, in particular the frequency of (varied) prayers and the predominance of spiritual and contemplative texts.</p>
