Analytical Model and Control for Three-Phase Single-Stage Rectifier for Battery Chargers

Résumé

In this paper, the vector control of a single-stage three-phase rectifier for battery charging application is presented. An accurate model taking into account the dynamics of the battery inductance is developed. Furthermore, the proposed control can be adapted through offline tuning based on the analytical model, which considers the battery state-of-charge. A topology adapted from the literature is revisited as a case study. The proposed approach enables a reduction in the output inductance, as confirmed by simulation results using a physical circuit in Simscape ™ . The robustness of the controller against possible dead-time range is demonstrated through several simulations.
