Cap Determination from the Measured Field by Magnetic Sensors

Résumé

The invention relates to the determination of heading by magnetic sensors, in which a magnetic field is measured by magnetometers and calculation means implement a recursive processing calculating for a given sampling instant: - an estimate of a heading prediction which is a function of the heading determined at the previous sampling instant, - a readjustment of the predicted heading thus estimated as a function of a magnetic heading determined from magnetometer measurements. During said readjustment, the calculation means estimate the amplitude of the readjustment as a function: - of a model of evolution of the magnetic disturbances between two sampling instants, and - of an a priori estimate of the amplitude of the disturbances.
