Compressed Sensing for MIMO-OFDM Underwater Acoustic Channel Single-Block Estimation
Résumé
Multiple inputs, multiple outputs (MIMO) systems are an attracting method for establishing high data rate under-water acoustic (UWA) communications. However, the estimation of time-selective MIMO channels remains very challenging. In this paper, a channel estimation method for MIMO UWA communications, based on compressed sensing, is proposed, and its performance studied using a realistic underwater channel model. This method allows fast estimation of MIMO communications channels, aiming to improve the robustness of such systems to the time selectivity of the underwater channel and opening the door of UWA MIMO communication with a large number of sources.
