It is pointed out that the usual procedure to deduce a Fermi surface from positron annihilation must give, with some broadening, the new Brillouin zone boundaries created by the lattice or spin modulations, in the case of weak CDW or SDW on otherwise delocalized Fermi electrons. Measurements on new superconductive oxides are discussed in this light.
