              <p>Wood is considered today as one of the most used materials in construction, particularly thanks to its excellent physical and mechanical properties as well as its durability. The elements of a wooden structure face the problem of creep, a phenomenon that remains decisive for construction because it considerably impacts the strength and lifespan of the structure. The objective of this work is therefore to model the nonlinear creep of tropical wood Entandrophragma Cylindricum (Sapelli) via the Burger rheological model based on the theory of fractional calculus. To achieve this objective, the analytical form of the model was developed and then used by a simulator to adjust the experimental data of the creep of Sapelli. The rheological parameters of the model were subsequently determined. The results obtained show a good affinity between the experimental data and the proposed model, with a satisfactory average adjustment coefficient of 97% for all the specimens tested.</p>

            <abstract xml:lang="fr">
              <p>Le bois est considéré de nos jours comme l'un des matériaux les plus utilisés en construction notamment grâce à  ses excellentes propriétés physiques et mécaniques ainsi que sa durabilité. Les éléments d'une structure en bois font face au problème de fluage, un phénomène qui reste déterminant pour la construction car il impacte considérablement la solidité et la durée de vie de la structure. L'objectif de ce travail est donc de modéliser le fluage non linéaire du bois tropical d'Entandrophragma Cylindricum (Sapelli) via le modèle rhéologique de Burger basé sur la théorie du calcul fractionnaire. Pour atteindre cet objectif, la forme analytique du modèle a été développée puis utilisée par un simulateur pour ajuster les données expérimentales du fluage du Sapelli. Les paramètres rhéologiques du modèle ont par la suite été déterminés. Les résultats obtenus montrent une bonne affinité entre les données expérimentales et le modèle proposé, ceci avec un coefficient d'ajustement moyen satisfaisant de 97% pour l'ensemble des éprouvettes testées.</p>
