A vorticity-velocity-pressure formulation for the Stokes problem

Abstract

We propose a mixed formulation of the Stokes problem, involving vorticity, velocity and pressure. This formulation makes in evidence two sets of non-standard boundary conditions: one set concerns normal velocity and pressure, the other one associates tangential velocity and tangential vorticity. This work generalizes the previous work of Beghe et al. (1987).
