Modeling of pellet cladding interaction

Résumé

In this article, a review of Pellet Cladding Interaction models is proposed. The key elements behind the modeling stress-strain and iodine concentration at the clad inner wall during a power transient are described. The presentation covers most of the past and present approaches to PCI modeling, ranging from analytical solutions to advanced multi-dimensional finite element simulations.
