TAKING INTO ACCOUNT PUPILS’ EVERYDAY SUFFERINGS AND EMOTIONS:AN ESSENTIAL CONDITION FOR INTRODUCING A KIND SCHOOL IN FRANC
Résumé
Under France’s School Reform Act of 8 July 2013, kindness towards pupils appears as a measure, or more precisely a virtue, that should be applied. But before this virtue is put into practice, it is important to identify the everyday sufferings experienced by pupils in school. The aim of this research is to pinpoint moments in pupils’ journeys from nursery to secondary school when they felt particularly vulnerable or emotionally fragile. It will seek to find out what pupils went through, but also identify those moments and circumstances that may have posed problems and caused them to suffer, in and after school.
