The use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) among cancer patients : a possible way to get a better mental health
Résumé
Following the trauma of being diagnosed with cancer, cancer patients first experience psychological and psychosocial distress (depression, anxiety, fear, etc.). Conventional treatment also induces biological and physical disorders due to side effects. Several attitudes and strategies emerge among patients with regard to treatment. Some want to play a more active role in the treatment process, and turn to MACs.
