Faire face au changement climatique : des processus psychosociaux à l’œuvre
Résumé
Climate change is a hazard that our societies have to deal with collectively and individually, either by mitigating it or by adapting to its consequences. In an interdisciplinary approach, psychology can shed light on the psychosocial processes involved in coping with climate change. With this in mind, we have conducted several studies focusing on the role of psychosocial processes in adapting to the risk of marine submersion, one of the consequences of climate change. Their main role is to enable coping. This involves understanding the efforts made by individuals to adapt to the situation, according to their resources. This enables us to understand how coastal risks are integrated, experienced or ignored on a daily basis.
