Composite metasurface for surface wave radar enhancement
Résumé
This paper presents the design, fabrication and experimental validation of a compact composite metasurface for a surface wave radar. The ultimate aim is to enhance the surface wave excitation efficiency of a HF-band surface wave radar by modifying the radiation characteristics of the emitting antenna using a highly inductive metasurface. A reduced-scale prototype is presented here in L-band to prove the validity of this concept.
