Recent findings in ground-based gravitational-wave detectors
Résumé
Gravitational-wave astronomy has started less than a decade ago and has already yielded a wealth of fundamental results in astronomy and fundamental physics. We present an overview of the most recent results obtained by the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration focusing on how gravitational waves emitted by compact binary coalescences can be used to study the content of the Universe, the standard model of cosmology and test the foundations of general relativity.
