Assessment of divergent thinking through game based robotics

Résumé

How playing with game based robotics can help assess the creative thinking ? This workshop, through a meta-cognitive process, help analyse one's behaviors while playing with game based robotics and find the diverse solutions to an initial problem. By doing so, the participants try to understand what are the functionnalities robotics modules, using diverse strategies, such as affordances or trial and error. After playing and analyzing what happened, the #CreaMaker research program is introduced. This interdisciplinary program aims to use game based robotics to assess divergent thinking parameters (Fluidity, Flexibility, Originality). Diverse studies using this protocol are introduced, such as assessing the creative perseverance in a creative problem solving task, or the instantaneous behavioral effects of self-induced cognitive trance on creative thinking.
