A simple setup to obtain ferroelectric thin films by dip-coating
Résumé
An easy, home-made experimental setup is presented to processferroelectric thin films by using the dip-coating method. It has beenused a stepper motor, a control circuit that provides electricalpower to the motor, and a computer. A LabVIEW program hasbeen developed to control all the process, including the velocitiesand times for the substrate’s movement, which can be selectedby the user. This setup allows the preparation of thin films underthe same conditions than that of commercial equipment. Thin filmsfrom two systems have been obtained, Sr0.70Ba0.30Bi2Nb2O9 and(Pb0.980La0.020)(Zr0.950Ti0.050)0.995O3. The corresponding structuraland ferroelectric characterizations validate the experimental setup.
